Fan favourite competitor from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Alyssa Edwards (a.k.a Justin Johnson), has been given her own Netflix Original called Dancing Queen, due to premiere on October 5th 2018.
The docu-series, which promises “the queen you know. The stories you don’t,” is set in Justin’s hometown of Mesquite, Texas. The self-proclaimed “grand dame diva of the south” is also the owner and artistic director of a dance studio. The eight 45 minute episodes will go “behind the makeup and into the drag performer’s highly competitive Beyond Belief Dance Company as he prepares a young class for an intensely competitive season.”
Tune in to find out how the man behind the Mother of the Haus of Edwards “juggles his dance life, drag life, family life, and love life.”
“The power of drag is giving someone the courage. The wig is the cape to a superhero.”
The queen you know. The stories you don’t.
