TOSS GLITTER PUBLISHING RELEASES FARM STORY
New York, NY – October 2016 Toss Glitter Publishing is proud to announce the worldwide publication of Eddie Casson’s autobiography, FARM STORY – Coming Out of Indiana, which will be released on November 15, 2016 The work will be published in paperback & e-book editions by Toss Glitter Publishing, LLC.
Casson has been privately writing his autobiography over the past several years motivated by the comfort he found in his early days as a hairstylist in the 80’s when his clients would ask him to “tell them a Farm Story.” In 2003, after moving to Manhattan with his husband, he began scribing brief memories discovering that the more he wrote, the more he would recall and the more clarity he found in his own life. “I’ve always considered myself a storyteller more than a writer,” he notes. In FARM STORY, Casson shares his experiences growing up in the Midwest during the 1960’s, vividly recounting moments of both heartache & betrayal and joy & forgiveness. With disarming sincerity, the book traces him through complicated struggles with a religious family, a brave-yet-fearful journey to find his place in the gay community and the loving relationships that have endured for decades.
“An emotional story-telling that touches the reader’s heart with simplicity and honesty.” – Marina Abramovic, Performance Artist & Founder of Marina Abramovic Institute
“I laughed, I cried and was deeply touched by Farm Story. Eddie’s remarkable tale of self- discovery is woven with a golden thread of arresting honesty, raw emotion, decadent detail, and heartwarming sensitivity. His story speaks to the heart of anyone who has suffered in silence, imprisoned by the often crippling societal, religious, or family pressure to suppress difference and live someone else’s story. Through perseverance, bravery, and courage, Eddie found his own glittering story and has most brilliantly recounted the journey to truth, love, and acceptance.” – Diane Birch, Singer-Songwriter
